Terms & Conditions

1. About Us

These terms apply to all roofing, guttering and roofline services and to your use of this website, extremeroofingpro.co.uk. Extreme Pro Roofing is a sole trader business owned and operated by Wayne Hughes, based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Phone: 07476 557149
Email: contact@extremeroofingpro.co.uk
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 AM to 7.00 PM

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Extreme Pro Roofing. “You” and “your” mean the customer or website visitor. By requesting a quote, booking work or using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide roofing, guttering and roofline services for domestic and commercial customers in Bournemouth, Southampton, Salisbury and the wider Dorset area, including:

  • Roof installation and replacement
  • Roof repairs
  • Flat roofing
  • Fascia, soffits and guttering
  • Chimney and leadwork
  • Conservatory roof conversions
  • Moss removal and roof maintenance
  • Emergency roofing call-outs

Some jobs outside our usual area may be accepted at our discretion.

3. Quotes and Estimates

  • Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
  • Each quote is an itemised, fixed price for the work described in it. It is valid for [30] days from the date issued unless we state otherwise.
  • A quote is based on the information you give us and what we can see at the time of inspection. Roofs often hide problems such as rotten timbers, damaged battens or failed underlay.
  • If we find extra work that is needed once the job starts, we will stop, explain it, and give you a price for it. We will not carry out or charge for additional work without your agreement.
  • Any variation to the original quote should be confirmed in writing (text or email is fine).

4. Booking and Acceptance

A contract is formed when you accept our quote, in writing or verbally, and we confirm a start date. We will agree a start date and estimated duration with you. If you need to change the date, please give us as much notice as possible.

5. Your Right to Cancel

Cancelling within 14 days. If you agree to work at your home, or away from our business premises, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting the quote. You do not need to give a reason. To cancel, tell us by phone or email. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, this right may not apply to certain urgent work (see below).

Starting work within the 14 days. If you want us to start within the 14-day period, for example for urgent repairs, we will ask you to confirm this. If you then cancel, you must pay for the work already carried out and any materials ordered or supplied up to that point.

Emergency work. If you ask us to attend urgently, for example for a leak or storm damage, and we carry out repairs at your request, you are responsible for paying for that work even if you later change your mind. You may lose your right to cancel once emergency work has been completed.

Cancelling after work has started. We may charge for work completed, materials ordered or delivered, and any special-order items that cannot be returned.

6. Prices and Payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (£). [Prices include / exclude VAT: confirm]
  • Payment terms will be set out in your quote. Unless agreed otherwise:
    • Smaller jobs and repairs: payment is due on completion.
    • Larger jobs such as full re-roofs: a deposit of [___%] may be requested before materials are ordered, with the balance due on completion.
  • We accept [bank transfer / cash / card: confirm].
  • If an invoice is not paid on time, we may charge interest at the rate set by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for commercial customers, and reserve the right to take reasonable steps to recover the debt.
  • Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

7. Access, Site Conditions and Weather

  • You must give us safe and reasonable access to the property, and to scaffolding or ladder positions where needed.
  • Please make sure pets and children are kept away from the work area, and that vehicles are moved if we ask.
  • Please tell us about hazards such as asbestos, fragile roof surfaces, or shared or neighbouring boundaries before work starts.
  • If you rent your property or share a wall or roof with neighbours, you are responsible for getting any permission needed.
  • Roofing work depends on the weather. We may need to delay or pause work in high winds, rain, frost or unsafe conditions. We will keep you informed and rebook as soon as practical. We are not liable for delays caused by weather.
  • Some work may need planning permission, building regulations approval or listed building consent, for example conservatory roof conversions. Unless agreed in writing, you are responsible for checking and obtaining these.

8. Materials

We use materials suited to your property, such as slate, tile, felt, fibreglass, rubber, single-ply and liquid plastic systems. Where we cannot obtain a specified material, we may substitute a product of equal or better quality, and we will tell you first. Natural products such as slate and clay tile can vary slightly in colour and texture. This is normal.

9. Workmanship Guarantee

  • Our work is guaranteed for workmanship. The guarantee period for each job will be stated on your quote or invoice: [e.g. __ years for installation / __ months for repairs].
  • The guarantee covers faults caused by our workmanship. It does not cover:
    • Damage caused by storms, extreme weather or accidents after completion
    • Problems caused by other people’s work, or by existing defects we told you about
    • Normal wear and tear, or lack of reasonable maintenance
    • Damage caused by third parties, or by anything installed on the roof after our work
    • Work that has not been paid for in full
  • Materials are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where one is offered.
  • If you find a problem, please contact us promptly so we can inspect it and put it right.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. That Act requires services to be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

10. Insurance

We hold public liability insurance covering domestic and commercial roofing work. Please ask if you would like details.

11. Emergency Call-Outs

We offer a 24-hour call-out service for urgent problems. Emergency work is typically temporary or make-safe repairs to prevent further damage. A permanent repair may be recommended as a separate job. Emergency and out-of-hours call-outs may carry additional charges, which we will explain before we attend.

12. Our Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

  • Loss or damage that could not reasonably have been expected when the contract was made
  • Damage caused by pre-existing defects or hidden conditions we could not reasonably have discovered
  • Loss of profit or business interruption (for business customers)
  • Delays caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including weather, supply shortages, or restricted access

13. Complaints

We want to put things right. If you are unhappy, please contact us by phone or email as soon as possible, describe the issue, and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and fix it. We will acknowledge complaints within [3] working days. We are also approved on Checkatrade and encourage customers to leave independent feedback.

14. Photographs and Reviews

We may take photographs of completed work for our records and for use on our website, gallery and social media. We will not include your name or address without your permission. If you would prefer we do not use photographs of your property, please tell us before work begins.

15. Website Use

The content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to Extreme Pro Roofing and must not be copied or reused without our written permission. We aim to keep the website accurate, but it is for general information and does not form an offer. Prices, availability and service details may change. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to, such as Checkatrade, Google Maps or social media.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that job.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless you live elsewhere in the UK and have mandatory rights to use your local courts.
